Retro was the first boy to join our beagle pack, and he’s been a perfect fit from day one. Easygoing and affectionate, he gets along beautifully with the girls and never turns down a long cuddle session. Smart and eager to please, Retro picks up training quickly and is a joy to work with.

 

Retro was bred by Ruth Werlein of Shadynook Beagles using frozen semen from one of our favorite dogs, CH Ha-Penny’s Clear Blue Sky (“Diego”), to a beautiful bitch named Kinji.

 

Retro finished his AKC Championship just before one year of age and stands 14.5 inches. His pedigree is full of dogs known for correct movement and excellent front assembly—qualities we were excited to bring into our program. When the opportunity arose to use him from frozen semen, we jumped at the chance.

 

Retro is proudly co-owned with Samantha Lengyel of Foxfire Beagles, and we are thrilled to share his journey alongside her.
